This week, we were given the opportunity to tour the facility at Sun Chemical on Lower South Street. The manufacturing plant produces pigments used in a variety of products. Because of the complexity of their manufacturing process, size of the facility, and unique challenges it presents, our members occasionally visit the plant to ensure we are prepared to respond to any emergencies that may occur. Touring and conducting pre-incident planning for unique properties is a very important part of our training program, to be as prepared as possible to keep our City safe!
