| On Tuesday evening the Peekskill Fire Department was dispatched to Elm Street for a report of smoke coming from the rear of a structure. Upon arrival firefighters found a two and a half story mixed use structure with smoke coming from a fan vent on the first floor. Firefighters forced entry through a side door and found a bin of oil soaked rags burning in a storage area. Firefighters quickly removed the rags from the structure and hosed them down on the sidewalk. Firefighters then searched the structure and vented smoke before returning to service. |
