This week‘s topic, Vertical/Roof Ventilation. Career and Volunteer Firefighters practiced ventilating a peaked roof using gas powered saws. Members practiced these skills with a variety of conditions and types of saws, as shown in the photos. Operating on a peaked roof, while using high powered saws can be extremely dangerous for firefighters. Practicing these skills helps to ensure we are as safe as possible conducting these operations on the fireground.
