| 💦BIG WATER WEEK💧
This week both Career and Volunteer members trained on master stream deployment and operations.
Master streams are fire suppression/water delivery appliance that have the capability of delivering over 300 gallons of water per minute. These appliances are typically employed when there are large volumes of fire, where smaller diameter and lower gallonage appliances would be less effective.
Members practiced both, portable monitors (can be mounted on the deck of a fire engine or on the ground), and aerial ladder mounted monitors.
While we don’t use these appliances often, it is important for us to be proficient with all methods of delivering water for fire suppression. |
