On Tuesday morning, the Peekskill Fire Department was requested to provide mutual aid to Continental Village for a reported commercial structure fire. Engine 131 responded immediately with three career firefighters and arrived on the scene within minutes.
Firefighters assisted members from Continental Village in stretching a hose line and extinguishing a small rubbish fire in the garage area of the structure. They then helped ventilate the large building, bringing in additional fans to speed up the process.
